August 29, 2011 - Musical Mondays Young rock and roll artists take the stage every Monday as part of our successful Musical Mondays series. August 30, 2011, Richard Paul Evans, New York Times Best Selling Author, 7 p.m. in the Main Lecture Room, will speak on The Power of Books.
Now: Tickets are on sale for the Annual Author’s Luncheon of the Ocean City Free Public Library, Oct. 6 at the Flanders Hotel featuring Carol Higgins Clark. Tickets are $30, available at the Library.

August 30, 2011, 1 PM - Oink! A Pig of a Tale - Great for kids! OINK! is, a musical, based upon the well known tale of The Three Little Pigs, but you can be sure you have never heard this version before! When little Frank Trotter and his big, greedy brothers Monty & Welly are caught stealing the harvest feast, they are banished from the farmyard and sent out into the big wide world. At the same moment, infamous carnivore BB Wolf is being released from prison, apparently cured of his granny-eating ways by a mad professor. Unfortunately, his vegetarian days are short lived and BB is soon on the prowl for a sausage sandwich! August 31, 2011, National Public Radio’s popular show “From The Top,” hosted by famed pianist, Christopher O’Riley, will tape a broadcast with the Ocean City Pops Orchestra 8 p.m., Wed. Aug. 31 at the Music Pier, Boardwalk and Moorlyn Terrace. The show is scheduled as a regular feature of the Pops summer program. Tickets are $20/$15 at the Music Pier Box Office. (609) 525-9248. September 2, 2011 – King and Queen of Plop - Ocean City welcomes the fall season with the King and Queen of Plop competition on the Moorlyn Terrace Beach at 11:00am. Those demonstrating the most dramatic plops or falls win prizes. Entry is free. The best man and woman in the contest are crowned the King and Queen of Plop.
